Condensation Test Chamber

The DHT® Condensation Test Chamber is engineered in strict accordance with international standards ISO 6270-2 and DIN EN ISO 6270-2, enabling accelerated corrosion testing that faithfully replicates the phase-change mechanisms of condensation through precise control of saturated water vapor conditions.

This chamber is specifically designed to quantitatively evaluate the corrosion resistance of protective coatings—such as anti-corrosion paints and electrophoretic layers—as well as metal substrates (including plated and alloyed surfaces) under continuous condensation exposure. It is also ideally suited for moisture resistance testing of automotive electrical connectors, structural components, and electronic packaging materials.

Scientifically designed to fully comply with Clause 4 of ISO 6270-2:2017—which requires that the sample temperature remain below the dew point—the system dramatically reduces corrosion cycle times while maintaining testing integrity. The resulting data provides a solid foundation for material selection, anti-corrosion process optimization, and quality control standardization. Its correlation with outdoor corrosion behavior has been validated by SAE J2334, with a verified relevance index exceeding 0.89.
